Ways You Can Support Us Through COVID-19 (Updated)

Jul 17, 2020

Thank you for your continued support!

The uncertainty and effects from COVID-19 have impacted all of us.

During this time, we've had a number of gracious individuals and churches reach out to us asking how they can help, so we wanted to share a few things that would make a huge difference.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. We're all in this together and we will all make it through together.

Here are some great ways your support can continue helping our children and families:

Pray With Us

Join us in praying for the countless number of people who have been affected by this pandemic, whether by falling ill to the virus, losing a job, or anything of the sort.

Pray for our leaders, from the national level down to our local communities.

Pray for God to heal our land and for all of us, as a nation, to reset our focus to be on Him.
We would also be honored if you remembered the Children's Home in your prayers as well, that we too will make it through these uncertain times, for our staff to have the patience and strength needed to continue serving our children and families, and that our clients will know that God loves them and He sees them right where they are.

Help Meet Our Campus Needs

While all of our campuses have a sizable inventory of food and supplies, sending in items from our Campus Needs lists would be a tremendous help in providing for our kids!

We have a list from each campus of some common items they need on a regular basis, such as toilet paper, water bottles, and non-perishable foods. Due to the fact some stores are sold out of the items we need, gift cards are a great resource that allow us to purchase items as they’re restocked. You can also host or take part in a truckloading collection to gather these essential supplies for our kids.

We also have Amazon Wish Lists set up so you can send needed items directly to us without even having to go to the store. (Just remember to use AmazonSmile, too!)

*Please note that some items on our lists may not be available at this time because of an extenuating circumstance with the specific vendor. We do our best to find replacements on the lists when this happens, but if you find the same item from another seller and would like to order it and send to us, that would be greatly appreciated as well.

Donate

We understand the past few months have had a significant impact on everyone in numerous ways, including financially. So far, we at Georgia Baptist Children's Homes have experienced a 30% decrease in charitable dollars.

If you are able and feel led to give so we can continue serving kids and families, we would be very grateful. No matter if you give a one-time gift or support us on a monthly basis, your support makes a world of difference.

Again, if you’re not able to give at this time, your prayers for our ministry gives more than we could ever ask. Thank you for your support, and please know that we are with you and praying for you, too.
Through your generosity, three of our residents graduated high school this year! We're so proud of them for their incredible accomplishment and can't wait to share their stories with you. Thank you for supporting our work and making such success possible!

If you have any questions or concerns about ways you can support us during this time, we would love to talk with you so please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Thank you again for any and all help you are able to give! We truly cannot thank you enough.

Be well and God bless!

Because of your support, lives are forever changed.

Thank you for giving children and families hope and a home.

“Our mission is to provide a nurturing, structured, and safe environment that fosters a sense of trustworthiness which is key in building rapport with our residents,” Sara explains. “I believe that children have a need to belong and if that need is not fulfilled in a positive way, they often resort to misbehavior. We understand the necessity of expressing God’s unconditional love to youth with challenging behaviors. Our goal is to accept them as they are, welcome them, and let change happen organically with time.”
